BROTHERS, Belle - Putnam

Mrs. Belle Brothers, mother of J. C. and Alvan Brothers, passed away early Saturday morning at her home.in this city. Mrs. Brothers, who was 88 years of age, was a life long resident of Putnam county. She was the widow of the late Harmon M Brothers. Survivors in addition to her two sons, include  a daughter, Mrs. A. T. Erb of Bethingham Wash., three grandchildren and two great grandchildren and four sisters, Mrs. Lucretia Winningham, Los Angeles, Cal.; Mrs. Mary F. Witt of Tampa, Fla; Mrs. Georgeann Ragsdale of Indianapolis and Mrs. Dora Reed, New Market.  Funeral services will be held at the Rector Funeral Home at 1:30 Monday. Friends may call at the funeral home after 10 o’clock Sunday morning.  The family request that no flowers be sent.- kbz
